Anniversary cakes are almost like wedding cakes. With the different cake sizes, a tiered set-up & floral arrangements are just as beautiful and striking. Such as when Tamara planned her parents 50th anniversary with a very colorful tropical flare. She wanted to revive some very heartfelt memories of Hawaii where their honeymoon was taken. She rented out one of the rooms at the Marina Village in Mission Bay, hired one of the catering companies that offers the local Hawaiian favorites and their alcohol license so that cocktails could be served. She rented all her decorations and tikis from Tikiland, bought her fresh flower leis and table settings at the local store Motu Hawaii. She also bought a few decorative items, her husbands aloha shirt and her matching aloha dress. Along with that were treats wrapped in festive hawaiian treat bags as favors. She ordered fabric from Fabricmart via the website from Hawaii to cover the tables used as tableclothes and drapes for table decoration. All of these resources are listed in the Tropical San Diego Event Planning Guide. Tamara had so much fun with planning and arranging how the special day would play out, she was so anxious to see the day come and visualize all her planning come together as her gift to her parents. Tamara also had the traditional Hula Girls dancing and a Halau group to entertain her parents guests. Tropical dessert was of course the all time favorite Guava Cream cake to top off the memorable evening. Such memories live on forever.

An awesome sight in San Diego that is located just at the opening of the Pacific Ocean and the Quivira Basin in Mission Bay. There’s a large canopy to set up a family or company event and the view is spectacular. The Hospitality Point has a large lawn area for sports; volleyball, baseball, badminton, crochet, also room for biking, fishing along the jetty and available sailing boats next door at the Marina.

Call one of the catering companies in the book, Tropical San Diego and have food delivered so the day is spent just for fun and play. The catering company will even provide the cake and desserts from Kona Kakes cake bakery.

How cool is that?
